International Sessions are the main events of the European Youth Parliament as a network. They are organized 3 times a year in collaboration with the International Office.
International Fora have a similar structure, but contain more cultural events and are organized independently from national sections of the network.
STRUCTURE OF A SESSION

Preparatory Work
Each delegate is asked to express a preference by indicating the committee they would like to be part of. The event’s organizing committee then assigns a committee to each participant, ensuring that within any given committee each member comes from a different institution. At this point, the students prepare two documents: a Fact Sheet and a Position Paper, collecting the most relevant data in the former and then arguing their position on the topic in the latter.

Teambuilding
Through a series of physical games, creative puzzles, and brainteasers, participants quickly build trust in their fellow committee members. The primary purpose of teambuilding is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable expressing their opinions. In addition, it aims to improve communication and the productivity of the committee’s work.

Committee Work
Participants gain a solid understanding of the assigned topic, identify the issues and possible solutions, and gather data related to the subject. Collectively, the members of the committee write a resolution, presenting their vision for addressing the challenges at hand. The committee’s work focuses on creating shared solutions, reached by consensus and supported by well-founded arguments.

General Assembly
All committees present and defend their resolutions in a General Assembly. Participants have the opportunity to speak from the podium, ask questions from the floor, and finally cast their vote on the proposals. The General Assembly usually takes place in an institutional venue and is followed by the Closing Ceremony with guest speakers.

Panel Discussions

Euroconcert & Eurovillage
During the Eurovillage, delegates are invited to bring typical dishes from their home country or region, allowing other participants to discover the flavors and traditions of their place of origin during a buffet dinner organized by the participants themselves. During the Euroconcert, on the other hand, participants have the opportunity to perform a musical or theatrical piece of their choice, again with the aim of bringing together distant cultures and traditions in an informal moment of the event.
