The National Board ("Consiglio Direttivo") is the body responsible to guide the Association in its daily activity and in the achievement of its objectives. It is made up of nine Board Members ("Consiglieri"), elected for a two-year term by the Members' Assembly. In order to better distribute the work assigned to the Board Members, who remain responsible for it, the National Board may appoint, with an annual mandate, a variable number of Junior Board Members ("Assistenti di Portafoglio").

Internally, the Board divides the tasks relating to the various areas that characterise the activities of the Association, among which can be found the Coordination of events, relations with other National Committees, social media and communication, human resources, fundraising, the Call for Preselection and the relationship with schools. Each Board Member is entrusted with a portfolio, for which one or more Junior Board Members may be appointed, who assist the Board Member of reference in the day-to-day management of activities. Each Board Member is responsible for his own portfolio, while the President, legal representative of the Association, plays a role of coordination of the activities of the Board, assisted by the Vice-President.

The Board meets regularly electronically to update itself on current activities, while it meets physically twice a year - once in winter and once in summer - to design and plan medium and long-term activities.
