Focus on the details-EYP style
EYP is a tight-knit community. Slowly but surely, if we entirely realise it or not, this also shapes our sense of style. Oftentimes, session merchandise is our first foray into this, be it the session tote bags, stickers, t-shirts, hoodies, or even something goofier, like socks or a scarf that resembles that of a sports team (shoutout to The Hague International Session at this point).
During sessions, especially International Sessions, session merch seems to be wherever you look. For •instance, the intensely second-hand General Assembly has a strong tradition; lest we forget about the business formal clothes we might or might not have borrowed from our parents. However, there are also smaller, more subtle details in the way EYP-isms show up in the way the EYPers dress!
Here are some snapshots from Pordenone International Session…
(Un)intentional European Flag
Stars may be a common geometric shape in general. But the number of times they show up in EYPer's jewellery and accessories during sessions is a fun detail – whether it is entirely deliberate or not. Extra Eurocore: the gold on dark blue variant.

Put A Pin In It!
It has been a long-standing tradition that Officials of International Sessions receive the famous blue “EYP pin” at the Closing Ceremony. However, the lapels of suits worn in EYP rarely ever go without at least one pin giving homage to a particular session, a national delegation or a cause near to our hearts. Amongst long-time EYPers, in particular, there are little collections of pins being amassed that not only represent a badge of accomplishment in the network but also a little piece in the EYP’s long legacy of volunteer work.
